Our Foundation of Giving

During 2009, Urbandale Construction commemorated 30 years of quality home building. To celebrate, we shared the joy of giving with our purchasers. Just as a strong foundation is necessary to support your home and the family living inside, our “Foundation of Giving” supported people in our community.

How did the program work?
In commemoration of our 30th Anniversary, Urbandale Construction donated $100,000 to the Community Foundation of Ottawa. We asked our homebuyers in 2009 to decide how this gift would be distributed to various charitable organizations across our community. Purchasers were asked to select the charity they wanted Urbandale Construction to support from a list of charities pre-selected by the Community Foundation of Ottawa.

What is the Community Foundation of Ottawa?
The Community Foundation of Ottawa is a public, non-profit organization created by and for the people of Ottawa that has been enabling generous citizens to create endowments and contribute to the community since 1987. The Foundation supports a wide range of community organizations and initiatives, allowing Urbandale Construction customers to choose from a variety of organizations that suit their charitable giving objectives.
